CheckUser is the process of checking information about two or more users (including named users and IP addresses). Some administrators are able to check if two or more accounts have been used from the same computer. These users also see User agents. This can help them decide if two accounts are related in the way described above. It is also possible to see if a user is editing from an open proxy.

On this page, users can request some users or IPs to be checked. Good reasons should be given for why a checkuser is needed; you should provide links which show the questionable edits, etc. Questions should usually be created so that they can be answered by yes or no. Responses will be short in order to comply with Wikipedia privacy policy. Sensitive information (like the IP addresses used by an account) are usually not reported. The results are not always clear, and a decision should not be made only on the basis of checkuser results.

Use of the tool

This tool is to be used to fight vandalism, to check for sockpuppet abuse, and to limit disruption of the project. It must be used only to prevent damage to the project.

The tool should not be used for political control; to apply pressure on editors; or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to check a user. Note that alternative accounts are not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of the policies (for example, to vote more than once or to make it look like more people support an idea). Checkusers will refuse a request, if the reason for checking is not good enough to warrant the use of the tool.

I ask CU for a block review. 1st is CU-blocked by Fr33kman, 2nd/3rd is blocked by SPI results. 3rd is asking unblock.

• As shown in w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Tishreen07/Archive#10_July_2025, Special:Contributions/185.240.17.47 was used by 3rd (Special:Diff/10381590). This IP was used to recreate Battle of Sahela, which was made by 2nd.
• Also, 3rd removed RFD tag from Battle of Sahela (special:diff/10384020).
• Special:Contributions/185.240.17.47 and 2nd overlap at Sack of Tabriz.
• w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Tishreen07/Archive#10_July_2025 also shows that w:Special:Contributions/185.240.17.157 was used by 1st. This means all relevant IPs belong to the /24 range.

Hello, I am 100% sure Ayyuban are Tishreen. If they don't match, they must be using another device to avoid the block because in the past, even though they were Tishreen, the result was always "Possible". @MathXplore Hello, I sent him the evidence, he admitted that he was a little suspicious, but they said that he opened his block because he was cautious because of the CU results, and I asked him to block them thanks to the behavioral evidence because I know that the user avoids the block. Hello dear admins, I think that the ID with the name VikRagnarr is a sock of HistorianAlferedo because today HistorianAlferedo was blocked by Fr33kman for 3 months and after that an new ID with the name VikRagnarr was created and VikRagnarr is also making the same edits as HistorianAlferedo does and the behaviour of both is also the same and VikRagnar is targeting the same pages which were vandalised by HistorianAlferedo. Today I made improvements on some of those pages, but VikRagnar is doing the same work on all those pages without any reason, as HistorianAlferedo used to do.

I have given warnings to VikRagnarr many times but VikRagnarr is not stopping and is doing as he pleases.

VikRagnarr does not seem like a new user in any way, his behaviour is exactly like that of an experienced user and his ID was created only after HistorianAlfredo's ID was blocked, and VikRagnarr feels exactly like the purpose for which HistorianAlfredo used Simple:Wiki.

• Tomar (Jat clan) was redirected by HistorianAlferedo without any reason but i restored the page but after block of HistorianAlferedo, new account craeted with the name of VikRagnarr and again targeted the the Tomar (Jat clan).
• He is removing [Indianexpress] as a source despite my warning see WP:INDIANEXP but he doing edit war with me. You can see his edits [1] and [2].

Ponik89 created Seez which is currently up for RFD. The other three accounts all showed up to the RFD to encourage keeping it. For one it was their first day of editing since January; another since June; and a third since July 2024. All four accounts seem to be following the PAID editing model -- get 10 minor edits, then create your article. All three who came to support the article at RFD made other edits the day that they voted to "bury" the edit among others to be less obvious.
